The manner and method of numbering streets within the City conforms to a grid established by evenly dividing township and range sections into 20 vertical and 20 horizontal subsections, adjusting for existing streets and address patterns as necessary, and assigning numeric names, starting with First Street and following a line running parallel and east approximately 5,300 feet north of the southern boundary of Township 2 North, and starting with First Avenue following a line north and south equal to the alignment of Main Street, being approximately 13,000 feet west of the western boundary of Range 2 East, producing a grid of lines approximately 260 feet apart, except as modified to accommodate existing streets and address patterns.
