11.90.030 Exemptions.

The following construction activities are exempt and do not require a permit under this chapter but may require compliance with other provisions. These provisions include, but are not limited to, Chapter 11.40, Traffic Control Code, and Title 9, Traffic:
Utility work that occurs above, and does not disturb the surface of, the ground of the right of way.
Installation, alteration, or repair of water mains, sewers, storm drains, traffic signals, streets, sidewalks, or other civil improvements being constructed under contract with the City.
Maintenance of landscaping, excluding street trees as defined in Section 12.04.020. (Ord. M-4026 §11, 2012)
