BMPs – Best Management Practices

CFR – Code of Federal Regulations

CIU – Categorical Industrial User

EPA – U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

gpd – gallons per day

mg/L – milligrams per liter

MIU – Minor Industrial User

NAICS – North American Industry Classification System

NPDES – National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System

POTW – Publicly Owned Treatment Works

RCRA – Resource Conservation and Recovery Act

SIC – Standard Industrial Classification

SIU – Significant Industrial User

TSS – Total Suspended Solids
