A. Moving to Evade. It is unlawful for any person to move a vehicle from one parking space to any other parking space for the purpose of evading time limitations on parking. There shall be a rebuttable presumption that any person employed or working in Zone 1, 1A, 2 or 3 who moves a vehicle from one parking space to another and then returns directly or indirectly to work has moved such vehicle for the purpose of evading time limitations on parking.

B. Chalk Mark Identifications. In checking for overtime parking, police officers, community service inspectors, and parking enforcement officers are authorized to use chalk marks on the tires of parked vehicles, or any other identifying mark that does not deface the vehicle, and it is unlawful for any person to erase or obliterate such mark for the purpose of interfering with such checking for overtime parking.

C. Penalty. Notice of any such violation shall be given in accordance with the traffic code and rules adopted pursuant thereto. Penalties for violation shall be as set forth in chapter 19.13. (Ord. M-4124 §3, 2015; Ord. M-4088 §1, 2014)
