No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle on any city park, playground or recreation area, or on any other city-owned property if prohibited by resolution of the city council. The city council, by resolution, is authorized, with reference to the aforementioned property, to prohibit parking on all or any portion of the property and may further provide that such prohibition shall be effective at all times or only at certain specified times. The city council shall provide for the posting of signs giving notice of such prohibited parking and the hours thereof. No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in any such sign posted zone during the periods of time so specified.

Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with the provisions of this section, after parking restrictions or prohibitions have been lawfully established, shall be subject to the penalties provided for in the traffic code. The vehicle shall be subject to removal as provided for in the tow provisions of the traffic code. (Ord. M-4088 §1, 2014)
