19.14.010 Notices.
A. Notices of parking violations shall be given in accordance with the traffic code.
B. Unless otherwise provided for, the penalty for violating the parking provisions of the traffic code shall be as set forth in section 19.12. In addition to the penalties imposed by this chapter, law enforcement officers, including fully and specially commissioned officers, are authorized to cause the removal and impoundment of vehicles violating such enumerated provisions. Costs of impoundment and storage shall be paid by the vehicle's owner.
The penalties above provided and the authority to impound for violation shall also apply to vehicles parked in:
1. Bus zones established pursuant to VMC 9.60.010;
2. Taxi zones established pursuant to VMC 9.60.040;
3. Loading zones established pursuant to VMC 9.60.050 and VMC 9.60.060;
4. Theater zones established pursuant to VMC 9.60.070 and VMC 9.60.080;
5. Funeral zones established pursuant to VMC 9.60.090 and VMC 9.60.100;
6. Construction zones established pursuant to VMC 9.60.110;
7. City use zones established pursuant to VMC 9.60.120;
8. County use zones established pursuant to VMC 9.60.130;
9. Tourist use zones established pursuant to VMC 9.60.140;
10. The parking prohibitions and restrictions provided in section 19.12.010. (Ord. M-4088 §1, 2014)
