The members at large of the Vancouver Parks and Recreation Commission shall be appointed for a term of three years except in the formation of the original commission. In such formation, one member shall be appointed for a one-year term; one member for a two-year term; and one member for a three-year term. The terms of office, except the first, shall commence on the first Monday in January. Any vacancy occurring in the membership of the commission shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment, and the person appointed to fill the vacancy shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term. The mayor, with the approval of the City Council may remove at large members from office for cause or neglect of duty or for three consecutive unexcused absences. (Ord. M-4060, 2014; Ord.
