All employment actions, including recruitment and selection of employees, shall be in accordance with City Charter Section 7.10 and with the city's equal employment opportunity ordinance, Chapter 2.69 of this code, and shall be according to merit and fitness based upon job-related qualifications. No employee or prospective employee shall be discriminated against on the basis of sex, age, race, religion, national origin, handicap or on any basis prohibited by any law. (Ord. M-2850 §6, 1989)
