The license tax provided for herein is imposed irrespective of whether the activity taxed is or shall be legal or illegal under the laws of the state of Washington. This chapter shall not be construed to legalize any activity now or hereafter declared to be in violation of the laws of the state of Washington. (Ord. C-255 §3, 1949)
