The City Council declares it to be in the public interest, and for the protection of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the city and its environs to provide the highest level of emergency medical services reasonably practicable. This chapter is enacted as an exercise of the police power of the City of Vancouver. (Ord. M-4092 §2, 2014)
