9.44.020 Streets Closed to Trucks.
A. The following streets in the City of Vancouver shall be closed to all truck travel except for the purpose of making deliveries or providing service to points upon or in reasonable proximity of such street:
1. West 39th Street and East 39th Street from Interstate 5 to NW Fruit Valley Road.
B. The Public Works Director or designee post appropriate signs consistent with these provisions.
C. Violation of this section shall constitute a traffic infraction and shall be punishable by a maximum penalty of $250 per violation.
E. Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions, trucks may use West and East 39th Street if one or more of the following streets are closed due to construction or emergency:
1. Fourth Plain Blvd west of Interstate 5.
2. SR 501/Mill Plain Blvd west of Interstate 5.
F. For purposes of this section “truck” means a motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles used in commerce to transport property if such motor vehicle meets the definition of RCW 46.25.010(6)(a)(b)and (d). (Ord. M-4177 §1, 2016)
