Unmetered water connections for automatic sprinkler systems for fire protection purposes which meet the requirements of VMC 14.04.260 (that is, where the alarm system is connected to a fire alarm system and there is an approved backflow assembly and a water motorized flow alarm on the alarm system), shall be furnished with water for fire protection and firefighting purposes only at no charge.
