a. Swimming in the Columbia River shall be:

1. Prohibited at Marine Park within the area prescribed as follows: from fifty feet to the east of the east dock to fifty feet to the west of the west dock and to two hundred feet to the south of both docks; and

2. Prohibited at Terminal One within one hundred feet of this dock; and

3. Confined to restricted swimming areas; or

4. Confined to within a distance of one hundred feet from the shore unless the swimmer is accompanied by a boat.

b. This chapter shall not apply in emergency situations.

c. A person convicted of violating this section shall be subject to a fine not to exceed two hundred fifty dollars and/or imprisonment not to exceed thirty days. (Ord. M-3104 §23, 1993)
