Bicycle Lane. Any portion of the roadway which has been designated by traffic-control devices for preferential or exclusive use by bicycles.

Highway. Every way, lane, road, alley, street, boulevard, highway, parking area, and every way or place in the city of Vancouver adopted to and fitted for travel, that is in common use by the public with the consent, implied or express, of the owner.

Payment Collection Device. Any mechanical or electronic device that requires payment in exchange for authorized parking in designated, public parking areas. A parking meter is placed immediately adjacent to an individual, parking space, and the parking meter reveals the remaining amount of time for authorized parking.

Residential Area. Those areas of the city which have been designated as residential districts for purposes of the Zoning Code (Title 20 of this code).

Trailer. Any vehicle without motive power designed for carrying persons or property on its own structure and to be drawn by a vehicle with motor power. The term trailer includes trailer coach, semitrailer, boat trailer, or utility trailer. (Ord. M-4168 §2, 2016; Ord. M-4088 §1, 2014)
