Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not to exceed three hundred dollars or by imprisonment in the city jail for not more than ninety days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
