A. All numbered streets will have a prefix as described in this section. Streets with non-numeric names may include a prefix consistent with this section.

Of either NW, NE, or SE based upon the division of the City into three parts beginning at the intersection of Main Street (and continuing northward along an imaginary line parallel to the eastern boundary of Range 1 East of Township 2 North, Willamette Meridian) and an imaginary line 5300 feet north of the southern boundary of Township 2 North, Willamette Meridian (the historical location of First Street), except for a portion of Vancouver that is defined as follows:

West: Streets south of 39th Street and west of Division and Main streets, which run both east and west of Division or Main streets, will have a prefix of W.

East: Streets that run both east and west of Division or Main streets within an area defined by a meandering line described as follows shall have a designation of E:

Consisting of Main and Division streets and running north to an intersection with 39th Street and continuing east to an intersection with State Route 500 and continuing east along State Route 500 to an intersection with an imaginary line running parallel to and 100 feet east of Falk Road and continuing south to an intersection with an imaginary line running parallel to and 100 feet north of Nicholson Road and continuing east to an intersection with an imaginary line 100 feet west of Stapleton Road and continuing south to an intersection with an imaginary line parallel to and 100 feet south of E 18th Street and continuing east to an intersection with an imaginary line running parallel to and 100 feet east of Andresen Road and continuing south to an intersection with an imaginary line running parallel to and 100 feet south of NE 14th Street and continuing west to an intersection with an imaginary line running parallel to and 100 feet east of N Garrison Road and continuing south to an intersection with an imaginary line running parallel to and 100 feet south of E Mill Plain Boulevard and continuing east to an intersection with an imaginary line running parallel to and 100 feet west of N Lieser Road and continuing south to an intersection with an imaginary line parallel to and 100 feet south of MacArthur Boulevard and continuing west to an intersection with an imaginary line running parallel to and 100 feet east of Morgan Way and continuing south to an intersection with an imaginary line running parallel to and 100 feet south of Corregidor Road and continuing south to an intersection with an imaginary line running parallel to and 100 feet east of South Andresen Road and continuing south to an intersection with State Route 14, and continuing west to an intersection with Interstate 5.

North/South: Streets in the above-noted area that extend both north and south of First Street or an imaginary line approximately 5300 feet north of the southern boundary of Township 2 North shall have a prefix of N or S as applicable.
